Cookie Policy

The short version: this website sets no cookies at all. Not analytics cookies, not advertising cookies, not payment cookies. You do not need to click anything to make a banner go away, because there is no banner.
01What we do instead
We still need to know roughly how many people visit and which pages they read. We do that with Simple Analytics, which is cookieless: it does not set cookies, does not collect personal data, and does not track you across other websites. Everything it reports is aggregated and anonymous.
Because it is cookieless, it does not require consent under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations, which is why this site has no cookie banner.
02Our own server logs
Like every website, our server records a line each time a page or file is requested. That line includes your IP address, the page requested, the time, and your browser's user-agent string. This is standard web-server logging, not a cookie, and it is how we keep the site running and see when something is broken.
We also log it when somebody taps one of our "WhatsApp us" buttons, so we can count how many people want to start a conversation. That request goes to our own server only - no third party is involved and nothing is stored on your device.
03Payments
Payments are not taken on this website. There is no checkout here and no card form. If you subscribe, you are billed by our payment providers, Stripe and GoCardless, on their own systems. Any cookies involved in that are set by them, on their pages, under their own policies - not here.
04Fonts and other third-party files
The typefaces on this site are served from our own server rather than a font CDN, so loading a page does not send your IP address to a third party for that purpose.
Simple Analytics' script is loaded from their domain, which is unavoidable for any analytics tool. It sets no cookies.
05Marketing and tracking cookies
We do not use any marketing, advertising, retargeting or third-party tracking cookies. None. We are not running ads and we do not build profiles of visitors.
06Changes to this policy
If we ever add something that does set a cookie, we will update this page before it goes live and add a consent banner where the law requires one.
