How to change your Uber Eats menu

Editing is straightforward. The part nobody warns you about is the review step - some changes sit for up to 24 hours, and photos can take longer.

The steps

  1. Sign in to Uber Eats Manager at restaurant.uber.com.
  2. Open your menu, find the item, and edit the price, name or description.
  3. Save the change.

It may not be live straight away. Uber's own help documentation says some updates require a two-step verification from the Uber Eats menu team, and that changes may take up to 24 hours to update. Photos are reviewed separately and typically take three days or less.

So if you drop a price at 5pm on a Friday, do not assume it is live for the evening rush. Check it before you rely on it.

Letting somebody else update the menu

Uber Eats has three roles, and the difference matters if you are giving access to anyone outside your own family:

To add someone: Users in the left menu, then + Add User, enter their email address, then Add. If they already have an Uber account, access is granted immediately; otherwise they get an email to create a password. They never see yours.

Set the role after you add them. The add-user flow asks only for an email - there is no role picker at that point. Once they appear in the Users list, click the three dots next to their name and edit their role. If they only need to change the menu, Staff is the right role - Uber itself blocks Staff from payments and tax, so that limit is enforced by the platform rather than by anyone's promise.

Removing someone

Find the user, click the three dots, choose "Remove the user". Worth knowing: Uber's docs describe the mechanism but do not state that removal is instant, unlike Deliveroo which explicitly says access ends immediately. Treat Uber removal as done-but-unconfirmed-timing.

Common questions

Why is my Uber Eats menu change not showing?

Some updates require a two-step verification from the Uber Eats menu team, and Uber's help documentation says changes may take up to 24 hours to update. Photo changes are reviewed separately and typically take three days or less.

How do I add someone to my Uber Eats Manager account?

Go to Users in the left menu, click + Add User, enter their email address and click Add. They get their own login - you never share your password. If they already have an Uber account, access is granted immediately.

What can a Staff user actually do?

Staff can edit your store menu, add photos, view analytics and sales data and set holiday hours. Staff cannot access Payments, Tax, Users, Settings or Marketing - that restriction is enforced by Uber.

How do I remove someone's access?

Find them in the Users list, click the three dots and choose Remove the user. Uber documents the mechanism but does not state how quickly access ends.
