Change your regular opening hours
- In Partner Hub, open the Opening Hours tab.
- Select a day and add or change the hours.
- Use + Add Hours to add another shift on the same day, for example lunch and evening.
- Click Save Changes.
You can open past midnight: the closing time shows with "+1". You cannot set zero hours for a day; for a full day closed, use Days Off instead. Partner Hub shows the hours when Deliveroo riders are available to help you choose; if you use your own drivers, those zone hours are not shown.
Busy mode: more time on new orders
- Tap the switch at the top of your Deliveroo tablet to turn Busy mode on.
- Set how much time you need. At 25 minutes, Deliveroo waits at least that long before sending a rider to collect any new order.
- Tap the switch again when you are back on track.
Deliveroo is clear about when not to use it: not for a normal Friday rush, only when you are much busier than usual for the time of week. Busy mode may move you down the restaurant list, and using it often makes your prep-time estimates less accurate. It only affects orders not yet placed; for one order that needs longer, use the Need more time? button on that order.
Pause orders: close now, open again later
Deliveroo's help docs describe pausing as closing your site, then opening it again:
- In Partner Hub, go to the Live Orders tab and choose Settings at the top.
- If you have more than one site, select the right one.
- Select Close now.
To take orders again, go to Live Orders and select Open now. You need to open every day to receive orders unless you use auto-open. Groups with several sites can open or close them together under Settings, then Site Status. Deliveroo says that change is immediate, and that it is meant for incidents and outages rather than everyday use.
Closing during your listed hours means customers who try to order cannot, and Deliveroo warns it may reduce the orders you get after you reopen. If you know in advance, use special hours or a day off.
Special hours: bank holidays and one-off days
- Click the Opening Hours tab, then Edit availability at the top right.
- Click Select sites, choose the sites, select Update and Continue.
- Give the event a name and choose the date.
- Set the hours for that day, or choose Closed all day, pick a reason and click Save.
- Confirm, and click Save again. A message confirms it a few minutes later.
Only admin users can set special hours. They override your regular hours on that day; delete the event to go back to normal. You can set events as far ahead as you like.
Days off: closed for a full day or longer
In Partner Hub, go to Settings, then Days Off, click Add new, choose the dates, a reason and the sites. On the tablet, open the menu, tap Days off, then Add New. You can schedule up to 365 days ahead. On a scheduled day off, your site will not auto-open.
Changing hours on Just Eat and Uber Eats too
Hours, like prices, are set separately on each app. A bank holiday change on Deliveroo does not reach Just Eat or Uber Eats, so change all three in the same sitting. To change your menu while you are in Partner Hub, see how to use Deliveroo Menu Manager, and to see your Just Eat and Uber Eats prices side by side, try the free menu price checker.
