What we found: the same dish at two prices
An audit of four UK takeaways' public menus, comparing Just Eat with each shop's own website. No names, no customers, just what the listings show.
What this is, and what it is not
This is an audit of public menus, not a customer story. MenuSync has not yet published a customer case study, and we will not invent one. Instead, here is something anyone can check: the same dish, at the same takeaway, listed at two prices in two places. We looked at four UK takeaways' Just Eat listings and their own website menus on 5 October 2026, and checked again on 13 October 2026. The prices were the same on both days. We have left the shops unnamed.
Same dish, two prices
| Takeaway | Dish | Just Eat | Own website | Difference |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| A kebab and grill takeaway | Doner Roll | £6.00 | £5.00 | £1.00 |
| A Chinese takeaway in Buckinghamshire | Szechuan Tofu | £9.95 | £6.90 | £3.05 |
| A balti house in Birmingham | Chicken Balti | £9.50 | £8.50 | £1.00 |
| An Indian takeaway in Dorset | Bombay Aloo | £5.25 | £4.50 | £0.75 |
Prices are what each public page showed on 5 and 13 October 2026: the Just Eat menu and the shop's own online menu for the same named dish. In all four, the Just Eat price was the higher one. The four were picked because they show a difference; they are examples, not a sample of how common this is.

Where MenuSync fits
MenuSync makes menu changes on Just Eat, Deliveroo and Uber Eats from one WhatsApp message and sends back a screenshot of each live listing. It does not update your own website. Your first change is free with no card; after that it is £39 a month for one shop.
Questions
Is this a customer case study?
No. It is an audit of public listings: menus anyone can open on Just Eat and on each shop's own website. None of the four takeaways is a MenuSync customer, and none is named.
Does a different price mean something needs fixing?
Not necessarily. Many takeaways price delivery apps higher on purpose, because each app takes a commission. It only matters if the owner did not mean the two prices to differ, and only the owner knows that.
Does MenuSync update my own website?
No. MenuSync covers Just Eat, Deliveroo and Uber Eats only. Your own website stays with you or whoever runs it.
How can I compare my own prices?
Open your listing on each app and your own menu page side by side, or paste a Just Eat and an Uber Eats link into the free price checker at menusync.co.uk/check/.
Send one change. See it work.
First change free. No card needed. Then £39 a month.
