How to schedule breakfast and lunch menus on delivery apps
Deliveroo, Uber Eats and Just Eat each handle time-of-day menus differently. Here is what each platform's own help pages say.
The short answer
Set it up once and the apps switch for you. On Deliveroo, create a scheduled menu in Menu Manager. On Uber Eats, create a separate menu with its own days and times in Uber Eats Manager. On Just Eat, the help pages we read describe no timed menu, so you would ask Just Eat.

Deliveroo: scheduled menus
A scheduled menu shows chosen categories at set times, for example a breakfast menu from 9am to 12pm. Put breakfast dishes in their own category first.
- In Menu Manager in Partner Hub, click the Menus tab.
- Click + New Menu.
- Select the categories for this menu.
- Choose the times and days.
- Select Add menu, then Publish.
- You can have up to five scheduled menus, with one active at a time.
- When none is scheduled, your default menu shows, so keep all-day dishes in categories that every schedule includes.
- Customers ordering for later may see the menu for the time slot they pick.
- All sites on the same menu share its schedule.
Uber Eats: menu hours
- In Uber Eats Manager, click Menu in the left sidebar.
- Create a new menu and give it a name, such as Breakfast Menu.
- Choose the days and times customers can see it, and save.
- Add the categories and items for that menu.
To change the times later, open the menu and edit its Menu hours; each day of the week can differ. For a single item, such as a weekend special, open the item and use Set custom hours. Uber notes that an item cannot be sold outside its menu's hours, so change the menu hours first.
Just Eat: what the help pages cover
Just Eat's UK partner pages that we read describe two things: changing your opening hours under the Management tab of Partner Hub, and editing items, prices and availability in Menu Manager. They do not describe a menu that switches by time of day.
Rather than guess at a setting that may not exist on your account, ask Just Eat through Partner Hub. If it is not available, a breakfast dish has to be made available or unavailable by hand.
Tips that apply on every app
- Use the same times on each appA customer who sees breakfast at 11:30 on one app expects it on the others.
- Keep breakfast in its own categorySchedules work by category on Deliveroo and by menu on Uber Eats.
- Check after the switch-overOpen each listing as a customer just before and just after the switch, or compare prices with the free checker.
