How to update your Uber Eats menu

Change prices, items, extras and sold-out dishes in Uber Eats Manager, and know when the update will show, from Uber's own help pages.

The short answer

Sign in to Uber Eats Manager, click Menu in the left sidebar to open Menu Maker, select the item, change the price, name, description or photo, and click Save. Some changes are checked by Uber's menu team first and can take up to 24 hours to show.

Steps checked against Uber's help centre on 14 October 2026. Uber's articles show some screens under slightly different names, so if yours looks different, Uber's own article is the one to trust. MenuSync is an independent service, not affiliated with Uber Eats.

Change a price or an item

  1. Sign in to Uber Eats Manager at restaurant.uber.com.
  2. Click Menu in the left sidebar.
  3. Search for the item, or select it from the list.
  4. Change the price, or click any other detail to edit it.
  5. Click Save.

If you have separate prices for delivery and pickup, edit each one. Uber warns that splitting delivery and pickup prices for the first time cannot be reversed, so decide before you do it.

Add or remove an item

To add one, use the add option in Menu Maker, enter the name, category, price, tax rate and description, add a photo, and click Save. Uber suggests a detailed description, which also tells customers about ingredients they may be allergic to. To remove one, open the item and choose Delete.

Extras and options (modifier groups)

Uber calls choices such as a dressing or extra cheese modifier groups. In Menu Maker, open Modifier Groups, add a new group, name it, add the options and their prices (an option can be free), and click Save. Option prices count as prices too, so include them when you change prices across the apps.

Sold out

  1. In Uber Eats Manager, click Menu and select the item to open the Edit item panel.
  2. Tick Sold out and choose Today or Indefinitely.
  3. Click Save. A red icon shows next to the item; click it to change the status back.

In the Uber Eats Orders app, use Item availability in its menu instead. If a dish appears in more than one place on your menu, Uber says to change it in each place.

When the update goes live

  • Menu editsUber says some updates need a two-step check by its menu team and may take up to 24 hours.
  • PhotosReviewed first. Uber says this typically takes 3 days or less.
  • Menus run from a till (POS)Change the menu in the POS, not in Menu Maker.

Because of the review step, change Uber Eats first when you update all three apps, and check the listing before a busy evening.

Common problems

Keep Just Eat and Deliveroo in step

An Uber Eats update stays on Uber Eats. If the same dish is on Just Eat and Deliveroo, change it there in the same sitting, from one list with a column for each app. For the Deliveroo side, see how to use Deliveroo Menu Manager. To see your Just Eat and Uber Eats prices side by side, use the free menu price checker.
